Blanket

The Ceramic Wool Blanket is composed of long, flexible, interwoven fibers manufactured by the "blown" and the "spun" process yielding a strong, lightweight yet durable blanket for applications in a temperature range from 538°C (1000°F ) to 1480°C (2700°F).

Nutec Fibratec* Blanket has the heat resistance of a hard refractory with five times better insulation value, low weight and the flexibility of a refractory wool.

Nutec Fibratec* Wet Pack standard Fibratec Blanket which has been pre-saturated with an specially formulated rigidizing solution which causes it to harden when exposed to ambient air or heat. The hardened surface provides increased to process atmospheres and furnace gas velocity.

3000 Mullite

Nutec 3000 Blanket is a high temperature needled blanket that is used in applications for temperatures to 1593°C (2900°F). This Blanket is made from Mullite fibers which are double needled to provide for high tensile strength and durability. Nutec 3000 is resistant to shrinkage at high temperatures. At high temperatures, this product is thermal shock resistant, low thermal conductivity and low heat storage.

Nutec 3000 Blanket can be made into modules with densities of 6# and 8# with thicknesses of 4”-12”.

Board

Nutec Fibratec* Board is a light-weight refractory material produced from silica-alumina fibers for application temperatures of up to 1538 C (2800 F).

Nutec Fibratec* board features excellent insulating properties and is specially designed to withstand high-speed gas flows. It is ideally suited for heater chimneys, ductwork and furnaces, due to its low thermal conductivity and low heat storage, allowing for shorter burning cycle times and quick access for maintenance.

Moldable & Seal Coat

Nutec Fibratec* 2600 Seal Coat may be applied into refractory joints and cracks to seal against thermal loss, infiltration particulates and hot spot repar coating over hard refractory or ceramic surfaces to improve thermal efficiency and lining resistance to hot gas erosion. In addition may be applied to a steel shell in place of insulating board, prior to the installation of the refractory working lining.

Nutec Fibratec* bulk and ground ceramic wool are produced from alumina and silica and are therefore chemically inert fibers. These fibers feature excellent chemical stability and corrosion attack resistance.

Bulk wools are long and flexible, feature high refractory properties and are produced through the Blown and Spun processes.These fibers are utilized as the basis for producing the blanket, moldable, boards and special vacuum-formed parts.

Nutec Fibratec* Special Shapes are available in a wide variety of shape configurations. These shapes are processed form alumina silica fibers for applications at temperature up to 1537°C (2800 °F).

To match Nutec Fibratec* Special Shapes to specific applications, material compositions can be varied with different fillers and chemicals to produce special characteristics such as high strength, density and molten metal non-wettability.

Rigidizer

Nutec Fibratec* Rigidazer is applied to the surface of Nutec Fibratec* Blanket, or other high temperature ceramic wool by spraying or brushing. After air-drying, Nutec Fibratec* Rigidizer firms-up the refractory ceramic wool, giving it tougher, more abrasion resistant characteristics. It is normally applied after the ceramic wool is installed.

Nutec Fibratec* Rigidizer, is shipped in 5 gallon plastic drums. One gallon of Rigidizer covers approximately 50 square feet brushed or 100 square feet when sprayed.

Ceramic Paper

Nutec Fibratec* Paper, is a lightweight refractory material processed from a blend of high purity alumina-silica fibers into a highly flexible, uniform sheet. It is recommended for continuous use at temperatures up to 1600°C (3000 °F).

Nutec Fibratec* Paper, has low shrinkage, good handling strength, and low thermal conductivity. It contains a small amount of organic binder for processing which makes it flexible, yet reduces off-gassing and odor during use. Our product has a highly uniform structure due to its controlled basis weight and thickness, assuring homogeneous thermal conductivity and a clean, smooth surface ideal for gasketing or sealing.

Textiles

Nutec Fibratec* Textiles a service temperature range of up to 1,260°C (2,300°F). These products feature excellent resistance to: Thermal shock, corrosion, delamination due to mechanical vibration, stress.

Nutec Fibratec textile products forms are unique high temperature fabrics usable in a wide variety of industrial applications. This are made from staple Nutec Fibratec bulk fiber and 15-20% organic fiber as a carrier fiber. A blend of long staple fibers and organic carrier fibers, Nutec Fibratec* textiles are excellent choice where a flexible, strong temperature resistant product is required.
